Eastbay Photo of the Week: Reebok Pump Fury HLS – Black/Neon Yellow

words // Luis Sanchez

Taking inspiration from the classic Reebok Pump collection, the ’90s classic Reebok Pump Fury is finally making it’s way back to retail in an original color scheme.

One of the most iconic Reebok Running shoes ever released, the Reebok Pump Fury HLS displays one of the most unique designs in the world of runners. The Pump Fury features a Pump P50 system, providing a glove-like fit that holds your foot in the most natural position possible.

Aside from being one of Reebok’s highest performers, the Pump Fury is also one of their most iconic designs. For this latest release, we see the return of the neon yellow dominated color scheme. Black and neon yellow build most of the upper on them, while a hit of red on the toe cap and tongue liner complete the near perfect colorway.

The timeless Reebok Pump Fury HLS is now available from Eastbay.

words // Brandon Richard

After a near 13-year hiatus, the “Cement” Air Jordan IV will be making its long-awaited return tonight. Worn by Michael Jordan during his historic 1988-1989 season, the Tinker Hatfield designed shoes are characterized by a speckled cement print on the lace support panels, heel tab and midsole. Other key features include the iconic ‘Flight’ script logo, Air unit and plastic-coasted mesh panels that marked a key point in weight-reducing technology.

Though the Jordan signature line had become popular outside of the United States in previous years, the Air Jordan IV was the first model in the series to actually be marketed globally. The shoe was also famously spotted in Spike’s Lee’s classic film, “Do the Right Thing,” in which a character by the name of ‘Buggin Out’ freaked out when a cyclist scuffed is new sneakers. For a lot of collectors, the movie marked the start of common toothbrush sneaker cleaning.

With this classic due back tonight, Sole Shots celebrates its all-time status with a Cement-themed post. Most of the photos feature the 1999 retro, which is generally regarded as one of the shoes that shaped sneaker culture as we know it today. Check out the lineup and make sure you stop by Eastbay tonight to pick up your new Jordan shoes.
